This Monday Inspiration comes from Zuri and Stacey Ann who are great at modeling social justice conversations with kids. In this mother daughter conversation on their YouTube channel, LivingRoomProtest, they hold a “living room protest” in response to Lila getting told “girls don’t have muscles.”

It’s a really great clip to share with little ones to start a conversation about stereotypical thinking about what boys or girls can do. It’s also a great example of talking with kids about social justice issues in developmentally appropriate ways. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments below.

Girls can do everything!
